Broadway Broadway on the northern edge of the Cotswolds towards the end of the Cotswold way. The "broad way" is the main street lined with red chestnut trees on the route from Oxford to Worcester. It has been superbly maintained and has become a haunt of artists and musicians throughout the years. William Morris first noted the beauty of the village, and was followed by the likes of J M Barry and Elgar. Of the many lovely buildings, the Lygon arms is the most striking. It is still a Luxury Hotel and very popular with visitors. There are however many more reasonably priced establishments. The magnificent "Lygon Arms" The Town itself is nestled at the foot of Fish Hill, this gives superb views over the Vale of Evesham towards the Malvern hills and Wales beyond.
